ABOUT WÜRTH

Würth SA's story

IN THE BEGINNING

It all began on the 20th March 1970, when Wurth SA, formerly known as Wurth Screws and Fasteners opened its doors in South Africa. With only four employees at the time, this was the first Wurth company to open outside of Europe. At the time, Wurth Screws and Fasteners annual sales closed at R20 100.

TIME FOR CHANGE AND GROWTH

15 years later, Würth Screws and Fasteners was renamed as Würth South Africa (Pty) Ltd and in 1985, Wurth South Africa relocated from Fishers Hill in Germiston to the Old Mutual Business Park in Isando. 20 March 2010 marked Wurth South Africa’s 40th Anniversary in the country. Due to the growth of the company, in 2015 Wurth South Africa relocated once again to a bigger premise in Plumbago Business Park in Kempton Park.
