eBusiness Shop and Integration Specialist (Lead Developer)

Cape Town -Stikland / JHB -Kempton Park – Hybrid (2 office days per week)

The Lead Developer holds the reins of our E-commerce platform’s technological framework, including the Online Shop and Supporting Systems. This role combines oversight with technical expertise, from platform lifecycle management to cross-geographical system performance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma / Degree/ Demonstrated Experience in developing e-Commerce Systems.
  • Expertise in platform management, with the ability to oversee the entire lifecycle of the Online Shop and Supporting Systems.
  • Proficiency in performance tuning, including diagnosing bottlenecks, collaborating with service providers, and optimizing back-end systems.
  • Experience with monitoring and analytics, emphasizing real-time fault detection, user experience improvement, and site performance analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability in innovation and testing, specifically in introducing and implementing new UX/UI projects for enhanced customer engagement.
  • Strong grounding in security and compliance, focusing on the development of security protocols and adherence to best industry practices.
  • Proficiency in system integration, maintaining fluency across all company platforms and enhancing the E-business ecosystem.
  • Skills in traffic and conversion optimization, leveraging architecture and data science insights.
  • Prior experience in cross-team collaboration, ideally with international teams like E-procurement.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and ensure continuity, especially with integrated systems.
  • Geographical oversight experience, with a focus on managing systems across different regions like Namibia and Kenya.
  • Knowledge in administering, deploying, and optimizing hosted systems that bolster eBusiness Sales.
  • Ability to effectively present intricate solutions to senior management and stakeholders.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Platform Management and Development: Oversee the lifecycle of the Online Shop and Supporting Systems, including development, maintenance, and performance.
  • Performance Tuning: Diagnose bottlenecks, collaborate with service providers, and optimize the back-end of Online Selling Systems.
  • Monitoring & Analytics: Implement real-time monitoring systems for fault detection and user experience improvement; analyze site performance metrics.
  • Innovation & Testing: Introduce, vet, and implement new UX/UI projects aimed at customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Security & Compliance: Develop and enforce security protocols for website and customer data; adhere to industry best practices.
  • eProcurement System Integration: Maintain fluency in all company platforms for seamless integration, focusing on enhancing the Ebusiness ecosystem.
  • Traffic & Conversion Optimization: Employ architecture and data science insights to improve site performance and customer conversion rates.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with the International E-procurement team to develop integrated selling solutions.
  • Project Continuity: Oversee existing integration projects, ensuring that monitoring systems facilitate efficient order processing.
  • Geographical Oversight: Manage Online Shop and Supporting Systems in both Namibia and Kenya, ensuring performance and service parity.
  • Additional: Administer, Deploy and optimize hosted systems that support eBusiness Sales.
  • Carry out market research and analysis of competitors.
  • Build business relationships with large customers.
  • Maintain a desirable fluctuation rate.
  • Ensure all data for your sales team is kept up to date and accurate.
  • Ensure all individual geographical areas are fair and have potential for growth.
  • Adhere to company price increases and authorization of price discounts within your sales team.
  • Recruitment and selection of new CSC’s as when required.
  • Handle disciplinary issues in your group as and when required and carry out any disciplinary action required.
